As studies and research continue to uncover more information about cannabinoids, how they can benefit humans and pets, and at what potencies are they most effective, Panacea is committed to providing products that are timely and relevant to the latest findings. While early CBD dosing guides generally recommended giving dogs somewhere between 1-3mg of CBD for every 10lbs of body weight daily or as needed, recent clinical studies — including one conducted by Panacea — have found slightly higher daily doses to be both safe and more effective. As a result, we have updated our suggested CBD dosing guide for pets and are pleased to offer a new, higher-potency tincture, with higher-potency softgels in the works!

Please note: This table is based on the most recent (updated April 2023) studies and reports that suggest giving 1-2mg CBD for every 1lb of body weight. Each “dose” is one serving. It’s okay to round up or down to make serving CBD easier. To control pain, give every 8 hours or as needed. For other uses, give once or twice a day.

*Strong Dose should generally be used for older dogs with serious pain and trouble moving or for times when nervousness or anxiety tends to be extra high such as during fireworks or travel. Always consult with your veterinarian before using this product.
